We did an office survey. The C6 team has camped with our heads resting on these various items: tiny blow-up pillows, rolled-up jackets, our arms, dollhouse-sized foam camp pillows, queen bed-sized home pillows, small duffel bags, gathered leaves in a garbage bag, and a dog. The common theme – none of them were satisfactory. Either too hard, too loud, too small, too large…  or in the case of the dog, too wiggly. 

So we put our heads down and came up with a solution. 

The C6 Outdoor  Camp+ pillow is larger than most compressible camp pillows on the market but smaller than a standard queen-size pillow found in the home. The polyester batting can be removed to make the pillow softer or smaller by the customer via the zippered opening on the side. 

Compress smaller in the included drybag for smarter storage and transport. 

Get the Rev Tent Fitted Sheet and Pillow Cases for pillowcases sized specifically for the C6 Camp+ pillow. The ultimate sleep system for the Rev Tent is the Mutha Tucka Camp Comforter, with 2 Camp+ Pillows and the fitted sheet and pillowcases!

FAQs

Q: Will this fit in a normal size pillowcase?  
A: A queen size standard pillow case will be a bit large.   We recommend using the Rev Tent sheet set for a perfect waste free pillow case fit.   The jersey knit fitted sheet and pillow case set is cozy in cold weather, and crisp in hot  weather.  

 

Q: How do I adjust the density of the pillow fill?
A: Old school analog style. Unzip the side zipper and remove an amount of microfiber fill to your taste. You can adjust for sleeping comfort, as well as to decrease the size of the pillow when compressed for storage and transport.

Simple idea, excellent execution

The pillow comes in a dry bag and can be cinched quite small, especially if you remove some of the pillow filling. Love this because our old camp pillows from Amazon were too small, sort of like sleeping with your head on a doll's pillow. Then we tried larger blow up pillows. That was a fool's errand. Like sleeping with your head on a squeaky rock. So we splurged and got 2 of the C6 Pillows. We don't own any other C6 products(Yet), but love that these are just large enough for a regular pillow experience, and just small enough, that they're easy to pack and carry.

Perfect Fit

The construction is solid. There is a small zipper where you can adjust the fill. 2 fit perfect in the Rev Tent. They work and feel just like my bedroom pillows, but are sized just a bit smaller. The carrying case squishes the pillow down a bit to save space in your camping kit. And the case is a dry bag. We got caught with some of our gear in a rainstorm and our 2 pillows were bone dry.

These pillows are really comfortable to use and even better they can roll up into a bag and you can take them on your trips. I highly recommend these!

Support

When storing the pillow at home after a camp trip, we recommend opening the dry bag to let the pillow air out.  As much as the dry bag keeps moisture out, it also keeps moisture in! Make sure the pillow is completely dry before you seal the dry bag. 

WASHING INSTRUCTIONS:  Wipe down to clean. Try not to wash in a machine, as the inside may get lumpy.  If you have to wash in a machine, wash on delicate and air dry. Again, you don’t want the insides to get lumpy! If you are hardcore about the texture and feel of your fill and your pillow gets super dirty, you can remove the microfiber and only wash the exterior case in a machine.

  1. In order to mount the Rev Rack Tent on your rack, you will need a platform style roof rack with flat surface of at least 48” x 84” / 1220mm x 2134mm with gaps between the slats no greater than 8” /203mm.
  2. Front Runner or Yakima / Rhino Rack Option: your Rev Rack Tent ships with 6 stainless steel eye nuts and appropriate track bolts.
  3. For “other” roof rack option: your Rev Rack Tent will come with a set of 4 Rev Straps that can be used to secure the tent to a wide variety of appropriately sized platform style roof racks for transport and sleep.
