The Rev Tent is a modular tent system is built for the most comfortable camping anywhere. The versatile Rev Tent is the lightest roof top tent in the world and the only ground and pick-up tent with a built-in real mattress!

The Rev Roof Top Tent is only $1329 and works on top of most vehicles and mounts to load bars and roof racks.  Featuring modular components that can easily be moved on and off the vehicle by 1 person, the Rev Roof Top Tent is not only the lightest Roof Top Tent in the world, it’s the only roof top tent that can also be effortlessly set up for camping on the ground.

Over a decade ago C6 Outdoor co-founder, Dave Payne, launched Front Runner Outfitters and was one of the first promoters in the U.S. of vehicle roof top camping. THE FOUNDERS

Having toured Africa by truck on their honeymoon, founders Dave & Tina were no strangers to long road trips and living out of roof top tents when they, from humble beginnings in their garage, built Front Runner Outfitters into one of the most respected and popular vehicle accessory companies for overlanding.

After nearly a decade in the “office”, they decided to hit pause, step away from the business, and go on an adventure with their kids. They outfitted a Land Rover with the best overlanding gear and from their home in the mountains outside of Los Angeles, set out on a leisurely drive to South America.

Reflecting on a lifetime of roughing it, they were struck by the friendships they made along the way and the ease at which they could connect with very different people over a shared campfire. What started with a spark became an obsession - How to get more people outside, more people traveling & camping, more people connecting.

Dave and Tina decided the straightest line from A to B was to take the roughing it out of roughing it and develop crossover overlanding products for the masses of everyday campers.

What are you looking for?

  1. In order to mount the Rev Rack Tent on your rack, you will need a platform style roof rack with flat surface of at least 48” x 84” / 1220mm x 2134mm with gaps between the slats no greater than 8” /203mm.
  2. Front Runner or Yakima / Rhino Rack Option: your Rev Rack Tent ships with 6 stainless steel eye nuts and appropriate track bolts.
  3. For “other” roof rack option: your Rev Rack Tent will come with a set of 4 Rev Straps that can be used to secure the tent to a wide variety of appropriately sized platform style roof racks for transport and sleep.
