FAQs

Q: I’m a fan of foot freedom. What if I don’t want to use the foot pocket? 
A: The pocket is pretty wide, so you are not restricted by lateral movement. But the real blanket hack, is just flip it over so the pocket is on the top. Then you can use the MuthaTucka like a normal, unevolved, so last year blanket. 
 
Q: How warm is the blanket? 
A: It’s hard to rate a blanket following sleeping bag industry guidelines, what with the open sides and all, but consider that this blanket has a similar fill to a sleeping bag rated at 32°F / 0°C.

Best blankie

Was a little stiff out of the bag. But after using it a few times/ got it super comfy. I’m a tosser while sleeping and sleeping bags used to wake me up at every turn. Now I sleep tight Thru the night. And foot pocket is a nice option for cooler nights.

Got this for Christmas

Leaving a review for a Christmas gift. Had never heard of C6 Outdoor and came here. The blanket is perfect for a solo traveller or a cozy couple. The foot pocket is why i'm leaving feedback. Great idea and it's like a one quarter sleeping bag for your feet. I can still roll over withouth getting tangled and still stay warm. Love it.

The blanket is pretty nice and a very good value. The foot pocket is everything I was hoping it would be. For someone who cannot sleep zipped into a bag it's nice to have that little anchor point to keep your body under the blanket when you thrash around. No more waking up with one exposed body part freezing. 80" is as long as you can find for outdoor blankets which is great but 50" is narrower than 686 or rumpl. which are more like 75x54. For me at 6'0 the length is the more important dimension but it makes it more of a 1 person blanket than the others. Doesn't feel especially durable, Won't be going to the beach. The 686 (at twice the price) is a much more durable/waterproof all purpose outdoor blanket. this one is pretty much just for sleeping with. But when it's time for sleep who wants to cuddle up with a sandy beach blanket anyway? The roll top bag is comically over sized. The problem with a waterproof roll top bag for this application is that the seal works from the outside in, meaning you trap air in the bag and get no compression of the puffy material. I hate stuff sacks and much prefer roll top bags but you can get this blanket to A QUARTER of the size in a different bag. Seal line and Sea to Summit make waterproof roll top bags that allow for air purge either through a valve or semi permeable fabric. Something like this would've been a total design coup

Excellent!

So happy we ordered this with our tent! The foot box is great and wife and I covered up with sleeping bags and then tucked out feet in the box. It was a very cold coupke of nights and the blanket seemed to stay in place very well, plenty long and was wide enough for us both. Should work well as the season gets warmer. Couldn't fit it back in the stuff sack though. Nice bag, just too small, used it for other items.

When storing the MuthaTucka at home after a camp trip, we recommend opening the dry bag to let the material air out. As much as the dry bag keeps moisture out, it also keeps moisture in! Make sure the blanket is completely dry before you seal the dry bag. Failure to do so could result in a musty smell at best, and mold at worst. Yuck. Note that most camping pros air out all their soft goods for a day or two before packing away. Not only for the moisture, but helps with the camp fire smoke smell, etc. 

 

WASHING INSTRUCTIONS: 
The blanket wipes down easy-peasy. If you feel the need for a deeper clean, hand wash with mild detergent. Bleach is a no no. Air dry only. Tumbling in a dryer may make the insides clumpy. Clumpy isn't nice.

What are you looking for?

  1. In order to mount the Rev Rack Tent on your rack, you will need a platform style roof rack with flat surface of at least 48” x 84” / 1220mm x 2134mm with gaps between the slats no greater than 8” /203mm.
  2. Front Runner or Yakima / Rhino Rack Option: your Rev Rack Tent ships with 6 stainless steel eye nuts and appropriate track bolts.
  3. For “other” roof rack option: your Rev Rack Tent will come with a set of 4 Rev Straps that can be used to secure the tent to a wide variety of appropriately sized platform style roof racks for transport and sleep.
